BIO/AWARDS/SALES Darran Rees was born and raised in Wales. Originally trained in art and painting before discovering the power of the still image and Photography.

Working for charitable organisations. and many ongoing personal projects. Some of his favourite work as been for the Fair Trade Charity Organisation where he has traveled to remote regions of tea and coffee growing areas of Peru, Africa,Mexico and Nicaragua to photograph the artisans, growers, their land and communities.

Darran was a winner with two images at the 2019 American Photography Awards and also at the 2019 International Black & White Spider awards with two images.

Darran was responsible for the UK charity Send a Cow ( Patron HRH Prince of Wales ) 30th anniversary coffee table book with images made in Africa during 2018.

Awards Include : 2019 American Photography AP35 winner for NGO work in Africa.; LUCIe/IPA awards 2017 ( honourable mentions two categories ) TAYLOR-WESSING Int'l PHOTO PRIZE 2013-National Portrait Gallery-London; The British D&AD Awards -best use of Photography.
